"Free Dirt" follows the story of 8-year-old Kit Jones who, upon discovering her family is threatened with eviction, stumbles across a Good Samaritan on her quest for buried treasure. This movie, the directorial debut of Kenya Cummins, was filmed in Montreal, Canada in June of 2018. It has screened at the Visual Arts Theatre at Concordia University in Montreal, and as part of the African-American Women in Cinema's Special Harlem Week Screening Program.
